THE CHAMPIONS SERIES
FORMAT
As any golfer knows, there is a lot of details that go into a round of golf and hitting more fairways and greens in regulation almost always means a better score. We know concentration can be difficult at times but for a young person to score their best requires a certain discipline with every shot. We have built a tournament scoring format that helps each child concentrate on each shot and earn points for doing do. Points awarded, holes played, and yardage of each hole is determined by age group. Below is an example score card and point system for the 8 - 10 year old division.
WHO?
From beginners to scratch golfers, our tournaments are for all young golfers. Bring your caddie, bring your coach, or bring a gallery. Our tournaments are designed to help young golfers score better in competition. Everyone is allowed to walk with the player and help them in anyway necessary.
Age Groups for both Boys and Girls Divisions:
*5 - 8
*8 - 10
*10 - 14
*14 - 18
*If your child is 8,10 or 14 years old they are welcome to play in the age group on either side of their age
depending on their skill level.

AGE GROUP 8 to 10
Holes - each group will play 5 holes in regular season
(Season Championship - 9 holes)
Volunteers will follow the groups to help guide and instruct them along the way!
AGE GROUP 10 to 14
Holes - each group will play 7 holes in regular season
(Season Championship - 18 holes)
Volunteers will follow the groups to help guide and instruct them along the way!
AGE GROUP 14 to 18
Holes - each group will play 9 holes in regular season
(Season Championship - 2 day / 36 holes)
Volunteers will follow the groups to help guide and instruct them along the way!
